Laila Rouass ,Moroccan-Indian born actress makes too much controvercy in Morocco being sexy and trudging for mega-star.The artist , Leila, is not very known in her native land Morocco but she is well beloved in London .Moroccan fans are waiting to see her in Morocco playing on TV or in cinema .Leila Veejay could be called to animate the first Bollywood Festival in Morocco this year 2007 in Casablanca . Laila Rouass (born June 22, 1975) is a Moroccan Indian actress popular in the United Kingdom. She is best known for her role as Amber Gates, on British drama, Footballers' Wives.

She was born in London to a Moroccan father and an Indian mother. She started her career as a VJ in Channel V in Mumbai, India. After shifting to UK, she became famous in the role of Bollywood actress Amber Gates in Footballers' Wives between 2004 and 2006. She also acted in Family Affairs, Hollyoaks and the final episode of I Dream. She was ranked 87 and 69 on FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2004 and FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2005 respectively.

In 2005 she starred alongside Meera Syal in the television adaptation of Syal's novel "Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee".

In January 2007 rumours in the News of the World state that the former Footballers Wives actress could be about to land a big role in BBC soap EastEnders. Due to her pregnancy bosses are said to be willing to hang on for her.

She came into news in 2005 when an Arab Sheikh apparently offered her a million pounds for a dinner date, an offer that she refused.(wikipedia .org)

تبدو ليلى الرواس بسحنتها العربية وابتسامتها الساحرة كإحدى فتيات ألف ليلة وليلة ، في السن الواحدة والثلاثين ومن أب مغربي وأم هندية ، تعيش ليلى الروّاس حياة سعيدة بكل المقاييس بعد أن عانقت النجومية ودخلت مجال التمثيل التلفزي من بابه الواسع من خلال سلسلة Footballers’ Wives والتي حققت ناجحا باهرا في التلفزيون البريطاني ، مما جعل الصحافة البريطانية تتلقف أخبار المغربية ليلى الروّاس وتضع صورها على أغلافتها ، واضعة إياها في مقام "فيكتوريا "زوجة النجم الإنجليزي الشهير دافيد بيكهام .

ترعرعت ليلى إلى حدود سنة التاسعة عشرة بمدينة طنجة رفقة أبويها وإخوتها وأخواتها الستة ، لتنتقل بعد ذلك إلى العاصمة الفرنسية "باريس" ولتبدأ مشوارا ناجحا في علوم الاقتصاد والتدبير ، لكن رغبتها في احتراف الفن ، دفعتها للرحيل إلى لندن والانخراط في دروس التمثيل والإخراج بمعهد " Lee Strasbourg " ، وفور تخرجها التحقت بمجموعة قنوات "MTV " الموسيقية ، حيث قدمت برامج عديدة وناجحة لفائدة "MTV Asia" ورافقت إلتون جون ومايكل بولطون في أغانيهما المصوّرة ، كما تعاقدت مع مجموعتي "شانيل" و"فيرساتشي" لتقديم عروض أزياء خاصة بعد أن سحرت بجمالها الشرقي وسمرتها الناعمة ،وطولها الفارع أشهر مصممي الأزياء الغربيين .

وتستقر ليلى الرواس في لندن مخصّصة وقتها للاشتغال في المجال التلفزي والسينمائي ، حيث شاركت في مسلسلات " Hollyoaks " و " Family affairs " كما شاركت في فيلم Split Wide Open.

على الجانب العاطفي تزوجت ليلى في سن السادسة عشرة بابن عمّها عبد السلام الروّاس ، لتنفصل عنه بعد ثلاث سنوات بعد أن قررت الهجرة من المغرب... اليوم لم يعد قلب ليلى يخفق لعبد السلام "الحازق" بل للملياردير الهندي "نازا خان" والذي رزقت منه بطفل في فبراير 2007.

وقبيل زواجها من الملياردير الهندي "نازا خان" ، ذكر موقع ويكيبيديا الشهير ، أن ليلى الرواس رفضت عشاءا بمليون جنيه استرليني رفقة شيخ عربي .
