AGARWALA,JYOTIPRASAD ( 1903-1951)
Aka Rupkonwar.Fist Assamese director.Born in Tezpur,radical playwright.he introduced traditional musical forms to comtemporary Assamese stage.He was the first president of IPTA conference in Assam at Silchar He was a poltical activist .

Hailed as both a comic genius and a harbinger of a more personal approach to filmmaking in Hollywood, Preston Sturges was actually a late cinematic bloomer, making his directorial debut at the mature age of 41.(SENSES OF CINEMA)
